Workshop Title: Copyist Workshop

Date: April 27th & 28th

Time: 11am-1pm on both the days

Venue: KNMA Noida

The copyist workshop offers participants a hands-on experience of recreating some iconic paintings on show at the “Mirror/ Maze: Echoes of Song, space, Spectre” exhibition. Participants will learn to work on their drawing skills watching carefully the balance of light, shadow, and texture to obtain a photo realistic image of paintings on display. The workshop creates that space for experimentation, practice and a deeper understanding of the finesses of a painting. By the time participants finish the workshop, they have developed their own recreations of different paintings, especially inspired by GR Iranna, Sheba Chhachhi, Ranbir Kaleka and Arun Dev.

Artist Bio:

Renu Bariwal is a multidisciplinary visual artist who lives and works in Delhi. She has a moment-to-moment awareness of emotions, and they influence her thoughts and actions. She believes that her thoughts help her abstracting the subject to make them more expressive. Through her works, she reconnects to her core emotions.Some her most notable solo/duo shows include "Indian Deities" at World Fine Art Gallery, New York, "Body & Soul" at Art Folio Gallery, Chandigarh, and "Concepts with visuals" an installation art show at Surekh Art Gallery, J.K.K., Jaipur.
